Man Made Diamonds Cost Less
By Deanna FenéFirst Coast NewsJACKSONVILLE, FL -- If you want to get your Valentine a diamond this year, but it's not in the budget, there's a new option. Cultured diamonds have all the brilliance of a natural stone, but cost a lot less. Gemesis makes what they call cultured diamonds in a lab in Sarasota, Florida. They say their cultured diamonds have the same characteristics as a natural diamond; same hardness, same refractive index, and same brilliance.Instead of being mined from the earth, cultured diamonds were made in a lab. Gemesis cultured diamonds are created under the same conditions as diamonds in the earth. Carlyle and Company at the St. John's Town Center is the first jewelry store in Jacksonville to offer the cultured diamonds. John Rios is the store manager. "What we did was mimic the process of how it was created."The process starts with a tiny diamond seed that is placed in a growth chamber in a lab. The chamber is capable of generating 850,000 pounds per square inch of pressure and 2700 degrees of heat necessary to make one diamond every four days. Rios says, 'It didn't take millions of years to make (diamonds) it took millions of years to come to the surface and to find them."When you put a cultured diamond on a diamond tester it registers as a diamond. Rios says, "If the Gemological Institute of America or any other major industry that grades diamonds were to look at it, they would grade it was a diamond."Every cultured diamond is unique. Right now, you can only get them in yellow and orange. In most settings, the yellow cultured diamond is in the center surrounded by the white mined diamonds.The key is to know when you're buying one and to deal with a knowledgeable jeweler who offers full disclosure about where the diamond came from.

Misión de hoy: comprar una cámara
Justo ahora que ya vamos a comenzar el "curso avanzado de fotorarezas" va y se me estropea la cámara. Además, ya me he cansado de mirar las fotos que me gustaría hacer... Soy lo peor, he esperado mucho, he dejado que me pique el gusanillo y esta tarde... llegaré a la tienda y de forma impulsiva compraré sin mirar demasiado. Menos mal que me he puesto presupuesto.Normas para comprar una cámara en estado de shok:
1º Saber lo que se va a comprar, sin parecer un friki: Cuando algo interesa demasiado, se produce una extraña transformación en pseudoexperto del tema. Esto tiene dos peligros: Indecisión constante y salida de presupuesto.
2º Dejarse aconsejar: pero por no por un friki... es mejor buscar consejo en alguien que entienda el tema y que me entienda... aún así seguro que me salgo del presupuesto.
3º Ir a la tienda con la idea más o menos madurada: No es mi caso, así que paso al punto siguiente.
4º Ir a la tienda con el dinero del presupuesto en efectivo y sin tarjeta de crédito.

Un Oscar con sabor a tortilla de patatas
Cuando ví la película, supe que se lo iban a dar.
Psicópatas asesinos en el cine hay muchos, con algunos, como Hannibal Leckter en el Silencio de los Corderos, se llega a empatizar y pueden generar hasta cierta compasión por parte del espectador... Con Javier no. Su personaje es mucho más duro.
Con su apariencia y su peinado, invita a subestimarlo, a reirse de él... y poco a poco va generando odio, ganas de que alguien acabe con él.
Un buen papel (secundario?) y una buena interpretación. Felicidades.

ni estels d'argent, ni un demà ple de promeses,
sols un poc de sort, i que la vida ens doni un camí ben llarg.
